My Last Day of Freedom

Well it's Sunday and the guys are coming back tonight.  I've really enjoyed some extended time off.

This morning I got a bunch of laundry done.  Sounds boring but feels great.  I worked some more on the Pale Waves of Sherbet but started getting perturbed with some idiot house sellers on HGTV.  I figured I'd rather do something else with my time.  I took my new camera (that I haven't completely figured out) and went to one of my favorite hiking areas.  

I saw my new friend the Pileated Woodpecker again.  First she came to my house, now I hers.  Cute.  She's so large I initially thought it was a Bald Eagle.

So now I'm back home feeling good I got a hike in. 

It's wonderful to not have the t.v. on all the time.  Usually when dh is here, it is.  :-(  The kids and I have even given his mistress, the remote control, a name - Pam.
