So on Wednesday my dd and I were out and about in the northern 'burbs of Mpls. What do we see? Yellow leaves! (I think they were Aspens) They were falling and a small pile already on the ground! What the heck is that about?
We haven't had snow since February, which is bizarre for MN, so maybe the trees are a little off. ? Lol--no idea. This has been one weird winter/spring so far.
In other news: I saw the new Sex and the City movie. I liked it since it's always good to catch up with them and see what's going on with "the girls". However, my God! (or should I say Allah?), I felt as though we were being lectured about the political correctness of liking Arab states. Sickening. They didn't give us a tour of Mexico in the last movie. PC rearing its ugly, ugly head I think.
I also got a kick out of the two very-well-to-do Miranda and Charlotte complaining about motherhood. They each have a full-time nanny and very few worries. Despite my liking their characters a lot, I almost vomited. Then they gave a weak "shout out" to the moms that do it without nannies, too little too late.
Of course I'll see it again. I can make it through whiny Carrie's marital "issues". Are they ever going to allow this character to grow up a bit more? Ironically, I'm now whining about the movie. LOL I'll stop now.
I'd better go, Groundhog's Day is on. Gonna go watch it with the fam.
